AN EARLY 18TH CENTURY WALNUT AND FLORAL MARQUETRY DUTCH CABINET ON STAND the shaped cornice above inset hinged paneled doors having floral marquetry designs enclosing a shelved interior; raised on a barley twist base with frieze drawer and cross stretcher.

Overall good original condition, some surface splits and chipping consistent with age, door panels bowed to inner base corners. No loss to the marquetry having good color and polish. Some splitting to the inner side of hinged doors and the upper shelf missing from the interior. The frieze drawer is ‘hidden’ and is opened by reaching under the front rail, there are no holes in the back of the front of the drawer to suggest a handle. The furniture is of solid structure, with only a slight wobble and may require some tightening of the joints in the stand. Original lock and key.
