A Victorian Jaques & Son of London turned ebony and boxwood weighted chess set entitled ‘The Staunton Chess-Men’. Housed within the original mahogany case with green baize lining and original H Staunton paper label.

Kingside knights and rooks stamped . The King punched with ‘Jaques London’ mark.

Dimensions: Kings 8.8 cm height.

Condition report: Some wear with age as illustrated. Some small chips and the odd split to wood present.
