A 17th century oak Wainscot chair, the shaped top rail with three roundels over a back panel carved with flowerhead and leaf detail, above a board seat enclosed by down-swept armrests and cylindrical supports, upon conforming turned font supports and plain rear legs, united by peripheral cross stretchers,

Dimensions: Seat height 49cm, 107cm H x 68cm W x 56cm D

Condition report:  Some evidence of historic worm to the feet, and cross stretchers. Rear stretcher with possible historic repair. Bracing bar applied to the rear of the chair. Very minor evidence of worm in the seat boards, with small chip to front right hand corner. Otherwise general scuffs, marks and light gouges commensurate with age and use.
